The archive’s film cameras stem from differing periods of the twentieth century. These mainly concern 8mm, super8, and 9,5mm cameras, but there are a few exceptions.
One such rarity is a 35mm camera, one that closely resembles a similar camera that Joris Ivens used to own, except this camera was in 16mm format (see picture below: Ivens’ cameraman Robert Capa operating this particular camera). In addition, the collection contains two old plate cameras.
